I'm no big shot. This subject comes up every now and then and people give advice like they are 30 years in the sports industry when in reality no one person knows what they are talking about. Or people like you who couldn't cut it and are negative. I am just being bluntly honest. Working in the front office of a pro sports team isn't for everyone. Yes, you can make more money elsewhere. I understand that.

Do you work sales in the front office?

I wasn't being negative.

It's like any job that has its good parts and shitty parts. Being around sports is great, getting paid much less than your value is not so great.
My best friend works in the front office of an NBA team and all of the negative things people have discussed in this thread are all things he has discussed with me. He sticks with it though because he loves working in the sports field.
Your only being bluntly honest from your own view point. People choosing to go elsewhere to make more money does not mean they can't cut it. It might just mean they value more money over their current job in the sports industry.
