I just don't understand why the majority of Tigerdroppings expects this game to be a blowout.

Michigan didn't beat anybody good last year. They had a nice year, but I think their best win was Nebraska, who was barely ranked in the top 25 last year. I think people are still not sure that Michigan is very good despite their nice record last year.

Also, you have to be worried about Michigan's lines of scrimmage matching up against Alabama's. It looks like an extreme mismatch on both sides of the ball, don't you think? That is a recipe for a lopsided game, even if the skill players are comparable.

Finally, many believe Saban's defense will neutralize Robinson and Michigan relies HEAVILY on Robinson. One dimensional offenses really struggle against Saban's style of defense.

It just doesn't look like a good matchup for Michigan.

Why do you think it will be close?

Really? Alabama lost their superstar runningback who accounted for 2000 over yards, their top 2 WRs and starting TE. There is no reason to think Alabama's offense will be good.

Not to mention half their defense is gone including 3/4 of the secondary?

also Alabama will replace a good number of starters on defense. I realize these are young talented guys stepping in to fill the void but the inexperience factor might come into play.

I don't know, I just think its ridiculous that some are calling for a 30 point blowout. I've got Alabama in this one too, but lets not get carried away here, its the first fricking game of the season.

Well, prior to bowl season, Bama had beaten 3 teams with a WINNING RECORD and y'all were a great team.
