The magnitude of this situation due to his senile condition over the past 10 years? I think anyone with a right mind who has a BoT meeting to decide their future will not send a message saying don't worry about terminating me, I am going to quit when I ready

How do you not realize the magnitude of child molestation?
Not a valid excuse.

quote:I think he realized a hell of a lot more than you're leading on to.. what makes you believe he didn't realize it? It's not like it just happened and Paterno was on his death bed or anything.

Very poor choice of words

He wasn't so senile that he couldn't negotiate himself a very generous renewed contract last year.

I think you guys are correct. Perhaps what happened to Joe was all the power went to his head and he thought he was untouchable

Being old and being senile are two different things.
There is no evidence the guy had ANY senility and doubtful he would have been able to continue with Alzheimers. A much younger Pat Summit was forced to quit because she couldn't continue. No way Joe could have continued at any level with real senility.
Although, I do see the family perhaps trying to push this as an excuse for his inaction.

I think he was past the level of being a full time college head football coach, but it's clear he wasn't just oblivious to everything.

Uh the report shows direct cover up starting and ending w joepa he chose not to go to child services
frick him and his self righteous bullshite
This is why they need to suspend football until the last freshman from this year graduates and they need to raze the locker room because the culture needs to change no one gets it in HV
