Freeney would have to restructure his contract with any team that traded for him. I would rather have him in there, and just cut Will Smith. And Freeney would be great for Junior and Tez to learn from.

Sacks are hard to come by. While not eye-popping totals, Will Smith is the best returning pass-rusher on the DL so I definitely wouldn't want to cut him. Relatively still "young" compared to Freeney and durable, too.
Will Smith 6.5 sacks
Junior Galette 4.5 sacks
Turk McBride 2.0 sacks
Martez Wilson 1.0 sack (as a part-time LB)
Sed Ellis 0.5 sack
Broderick Bunkley 0.0 sacks
But I do like adding Freeney even though he's suffered thru some injuries. He only played in 9 games, but he still had 8.5 sacks. And I agree I'd like to have him hopefully with a restructured contract as a sack specialist.
