yeah, killing Frieza was the true ending of Dragonball Z, imo. Frieza was talked up and didn't just pop out of nowhere.

Radditz led to Nappa and Vegeta who led to the Ginyu Squad and Frieza.

Not that stupid curveball Dr. Gero threw by not knowing the guys went to Namek but still making machines stronger than SSJs? It would have made a lot more sense having the androids have a power level of 30k or so. Twice as strong as Vegeta was on Earth.

But yeah, power levels became bullshite after the Saiyan saga ended. the astronomical leap from ~10,000 to 180,000,000 that Goku took...but he's a SSJ.

Piccolo went from ~4,000 fighting Nappa to 1,500,000 fighting Frieza...well he fused with Nail

Krillin was over 100,000 at the end of the Frieza saga. THE frick?

I wouldnt call Gero a huge curveball since he does have roots to DB. i enjoyed them delving into time travel and like i pointed out, the saga did have some great moments.

i wouldnt go so far as to say Buu shouldve never happened. it just couldve been done soooo much better. dont make trunks and goten ssjs, which wouldnt trivialize it.

another big flaw, imo, is the series completely undercuts every race besides saiyans. that really limits your characters and your stories. instead of Vegeta going Majin, what if they boosted a different character (maybe Yamacha) who was once important but fell by the wayside. Yamacha would have reason to go to the darkside with Vegeta stealing bulma and how worthless he had become.

Buu couldve gone in so many better directions. idk what the fan outcry was like at the time, but maybe people just wanted classic Goku vs villain stories that just dont hold up all that well.
