Man. I just can't agree with that Faulconer stuff. Just couldn't like it. The things I didn't like about the American dubs was how you always had to hear something. Like there's never a break. In the Android 16 scene if you compare the two dubs, iirc gohan is never talking in his head that whole time with the bird. Can't find a clip on youtube to compare. I don't know, to me the japanese score and dub was just much more powerful in that scene.
There's a whole lot of scenes where it sounds like the american characters are trying to push out a massive terd log too.

Goku's American voice is a lot better than his Japanese voice. His Japanese voice sounds like a little kid or a female. Plus they kind of make a weird voice when doing certain power-ups. And Vegeta sounds way more awesome in the American version.
There are some things that both versions do well and better than their counter-part, but the main thing that wins me over is the fact that they are speaking english.
And I loved the idea of DBKai, but the lack of blood and the voices in the American version kind of ruined it for me.

I just grew up liking the English version of the show better. I understand your opinion though.
I really like the original Japanese...just imo the English has a little edge.
One thing I respect about the English voice actors. They put so much more into the show. So much more passion in their voice overs. Sean Schemmel actually passed out in the booth once. That is awesome
A 7 page DBZ thread!!!
