I apologize if this has been discussed a bunch.

I was just wondering if you guys knew why LSU hasn't offered Kenneth Santa Marina - Offensive Tackle out of New Orleans? Are you guys already full at the position, or is the coaching staff just not sold on him?

Thanks

No room when considering we have Malone, Pocic, and Boutte. He's a good kid and a great talent though. Wish him a great career at FSU or whereever

I was hoping we would take him just off the fact that he goes to my high school...so I am a little bias McDonogh #35!

I'm sure having Collins on the roster for next year and getting the #3 OT in the country have something to do with it.

I hope LSU passes on him. I think he could make a great OG.

He wont get an offer from LSU. He has a lot of bad weight and if LSU was to take another OL it would be OT Trenton Brown out of Georgia Military.

I personally think LSU is through on the Oline ... we have incredible depth right now.
Pocic, Malone, and Boutte is a great OL class for us.

I see this posted fairly frequently when talking about offensive and defensive linemen. What exactly does this mean? Maybe that's a stupid question...

Santa Marina looks pretty solidly built though based on his film. I didn't see any noticeable extra blubber.

Staff may have agreed to let rest of nation have New Orleans in exchange for East Texas.

Nope. We're greedy and we want both.

KSM has been eval'd by the staff several times. I think we see him as a guard, but prefer the two we've got committed already. We are looking to take one more OL, either at C or T.

His best chance for an LSU offer is to show incredible progress in his quickness and footwork, either at camp, or during the season, making him a candidate to play right tackle.

It's also a case of him being an in-state recruit and us not being able to offer until we know for sure we can accept his commitment. As you know, it's a little different for OOS schools, as they can offer and later lose contact with little repurcussion, but not so for the in-state school.

Bama seems to have made the same eval we have though and are waiting for their Guard board to clear up before accepting his commitment, which has been turned down a couple times apparently.

This is exactly why I wished we would offer Falkins. Carver Rams

We are still in communication with Tunsil, for whatever that is worth.

But apparently we do want another OL...but only if the numbers are there and the right player is available. LSU will be picky.
