He'll be going on loan regardless
That's what I thought previously but then that leaves Chelsea with two true strikers (Torres/Sturridge) neither of which are super.
There's a lot of attacking midfielders, but no other true strikers. Scary bidness.

Yea but it's
Torres
Sturridge
Lukaku
Not to mention that Roman is trying to buy half of Europe. They won't start the season with only 2 strikers. Roman will buy someone

Oh no doubt, but it's still safer to have three with one developing than to have two.
But yes I hope you're right. Someone mentioned it earlier but I think Roman makes one final push for Hulk before moving on

If he doesn't get Hulk, he'll just move on to the next guy.
Lukaku is already pissed he only started 1 match last season. He wants to get a lot of minutes and he simply won't get that at Chelsea for at least a couple years. He needs to grow and mature through experience and Chelsea know that. A lot of reports that a deal with Fulham is close for a season-long loan.

That would be best for him I think. Don't know if it's still floating around but some rumors says Bolton were interested as well
I want him to be great at Chelsea one day

quote:yes it's a couple days old and they have accepted, just needs the medical. He will likely play on the u21 team and spend a year or so abroad on loan. Eden says he has better skills than him, he's only 18. They also have 2 younger brother that play as well. They are the manning family of Europe lol.
Apparently Chelsea is set to sign Eden Hazard's brother, Thorgan
The more interesting news is that Napoli have accepted the chelsea fee for cavani and and are expected to pay him 120k per week. We will know something by Saturday on his transfer but it looks like its almost complete!!!

Link to Cavani story? I will be fricking pumped.

This link might temper your enthusiasm per WAGNH

I wouldn't be shocked to see Cavani leave but think the idea that any deal is in place is completely bogus.
Cavani's supposedly in contract negotiations right now with Napoli and this "leak" from the agent seems more designed to pressure De Laurentis to offer more.
However, if the contract negotiations go badly I suppose it's possible that he could be moved. The thing to keep in mind is that De Laurentis does have money and wants to keep Cavani badly.

If we do sign him can we please play him and Torres together to see if that works. I know Torres works better alone but both him and Drogba couldn't understand why they wouldn't play at the same time. Just don't want Torres to go back to shite when he finally looks somewhat competent especially with this new midfield.

Cavani is the last thing we need right now. Give Torres this season to be the man, if it doesn't work out dump him and get the best you can get next summer, or even in January, but not now. Torres needs to know he's the man.

This.
Not saying he'll be the Liverpool Torres again, but he'll be better. There's so much creativity giving him the ball from the midfield. We saw what he can do in Euros when he has talent. Granted, that was the best team in the world but you get my point
