Gervinho had an excellent goal, set up a very good chance for Cazorla, played a couple other nice balls into the box, won a few corners...I probably would have kept Poldi on, but Gervinho didn't have a bad game by any stretch.

I'll have to agree to disagree with you on that one. The goal from Gerv looked more like an accident than anything else. One yard further back and that sails over the goal just like every touch he had the previous week. He set up a half chance for Cazorla at the edge of the box, but how much good build up play did he completely waste by stopping the ball or giving it away needlessly? He's certainly a quality player, but his play depreciates the quality and influence that Poldi, Cazorla, Arteta, and Ox can have on the pitch.

There isn't much you can tell me to justify Gervinho being on the pitch today. I thought he was awful for the majority of the match. Like LSUGooner is saying, he takes away from the build-up.
