Cool, he did the bare legal minimum. Good for him.


Had he done to morally right thing to do and call the actual cops to investigate, he'd still be seen as a great man. But he didn't. He did the least he could do and wiped his hands of it. That's enabling IMO.

He allowed Sandusky to use the facilities after that incident. More enabling.

I'm not absolving him morally. But if you condem Paterno then the VP he told who was head of security should get same outcry. As it was his job to report it to police. And technically Paterno did notify the police, but let's not let facts cloud our revision of him.
