Anyone here having problems or have fixed problems with ES not going into reverse or generally just not shifting every time?
I bet your battery is not charged. I have an Rancher ES and keep a trickle charger on mine. Try charging it for a bit and see if this helps
just because the battery has enough juice to start the bike doesnt mean its enough to shift gears

The ES is a pain in the arse
ok in this order
buy the shifter wrench and keep it with the bike keys at all times.
when it does not shift, stop bike and kill engine. turn key back on and down shift to N then crank and shift to desired gear in as short of time as possible.
to repair the prolem
check the cable switch and the cable itself
check the battery charge and the ability to hold the charge
check the engine oil level
check (replace) the angle sensor
take apart the clutch and trans and clean and repair or send to a shop
enjoy 1-2 yrs of good riding then slowly progress back through the same process.
On third round of going through the process take out insurace on your bike. When bike leaves ou stranded as it will not shift pull out Judge shoot it and burn it down the claim the insurance and buy a manual.
good luck![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
