A 5 game parlay would have a higher payout so doing it his way is pretty dumb.

Actually, depending on how far you go, you are losing more than 110.

1. 110 Bet to win 100 = 210
2. 210 +10 Bet to win 200 = 420
3. 420 +20 Bet to win 400 = 840
4. 840 +40 Bet to win 800 = 1680
5. 1680 +80 Bet to win 1600 = 3360

So it you get to the 5th bet and lose, you lose 110+10+20+40+80 = 260

Someone can check my math on that as it has been a LONG day at the office, but you would be MUCH better off just doing a parlay unless you were really uncertain about the lines moving or you would "cash out" along the way.

I only do it when I like 5 games heading into the weekend on that spread.
