Yea being buddy buddy with a guy you've coached with forever only gets you so far. Eventually if the hitting doesn't improve and PM doesn't get a new hitting coach then PM may be the one losing his job.

Yeah because winning the SEC Title outright and nearly 50 games, plus coming within 1 game of Omaha is just unacceptable. Give me a break.
Mainieri isn't going anywhere. He is widely respected in baseball and is one of the best in the business.
