I personally think Katz is a 3b at the college level he was a good one in high school. We need athletic outfielders that can actually run. Also just like another poster said our approach at the plate is god awful.

Who was our last competent leadoff hitter? At least since 2010 we have struggled mightily to find someone to fill this role.

i can see that and that would be great. more speed in the out field, the better.
My point was, at least he has some mobility, however, he doesn't have that strong of an arm. You need a right fielder that can throw someone out at third, can run, and hit. we are trading fielding for average hitting.
i think him and rymes have the batting to stay in the line up, however, their fielding is average to below average. rymes could have never got to the ball the s.b. left fielder dropped on moore's foul in the first game. katz could have never got to the ball shot in the gap by nola last night. the s.b. righ fielder ran it down.
