Since you haven't grilled in so long, why don't you pick up one of these?

Chargrilled Duo

This way you can play around with both ad decide which one you like better, or just stick with both.

My BIL has one of these and he seems to like it. It won't hold up for more than a few years unless it's under cover, but by then you'll have a good idea of what you want and you can buy whichever you want.

I'm thinking about getting one of these Char-Griller Duo's. I like the versatility of having the gas grill and the charcoal grill together, and space is an issue. The reviews on the Lowe's site are mostly good, but I tend not to trust those things. Does anyone have an opinion on this combo grill?

I have had one for the last three years. I really enjoyed it, but one major issue. After 2.5 years the gas side began to rust out. I had a cover and kept it covered most of the time. I believe the issue is water got in the drip pan under the gas grill and I didnt' empty it out enough. I'm guessing this may have sped up the rust process. I have read reviews that also had a rust issue as well. Despite the gas rust issue the charcoal side did not rust at all and I'm still able to use it without any trouble.
