From my vantage point the umpire hesitated which tells me he was safe but saw his momentum taking him off the bag. The real question is did he come off the bag?

TV didn't really help either as you can tell from the many posts about it. Different people watching the same angles couldn't come to a consensus.

I'll say this: IF he was off of the base, then he was off because there was about an eighth inch of dirt between his foot and the base. 90% of the time the ump calls him safe since he was there way before the tag and wasn't obviously off of the base when he was tagged for the second time.

These guys had a hard on for calling people out. I base that off of the retarded check swings that were called strikes. Did you get to see those?

I saw one of their leftys get called out on a check swing and thought it was a horrible call. I am not a fan of umps. They are so inconsistent with strike zones. And the zones vary from one ump to another. The plays on the base paths are usually more consistent.

My opinion on the play is I wish maneiri would quit putting our runners in motion bc lately the results are usually bad. Now tomorrow he may call some hit and runs that work and look like a genius. That's baseball I guess.
