But simply because he didn't know and was trying to steal, he slid past the bag and was called out was pure BS by the ump.

its also not the job of a fielder to put his foot in front of a bag when someone is awarded a free base. I'd like to see the rule.
it was unfortunate. umpire wants a game 3 so he can get paid more $$$.
