It was just a clusterfrick. First, the ump doesn't emphatically call ball 4, then Snik doesn't look to see it's ball 4, then he overslides, and then the SB player is quick enough to tag him for the millisecond his toe is off the bag.

Umps never emphatically call ball four. It's always a more passive call.
