Listening to this genre all started for me with Explosions in the sky.

But now I've found tons of bands that i love.

List:
Russian Circles
ISIS
Pelican
Long Distance Calling
Red Sparrowes
Caspian

anyone have any other favorites.

I am not a post-rock huge fan or anything, but I listen occasionally. I'd recommend:

Sigur Ros
Slint
Talk Talk
Godspeed You! Black Emperor

I've seen Russian Circles, Isis, Pelican, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, can't remember if I'd place Young Widows in the genre (have seen with TV and Isis multiple times)...I'll tell you what...Russian Circles was one of the loudest fricking bands I've ever seen live

TWDY is possibly my favorite from the bunch and I was on vacation when they played in BR semi recently and pretty pissed I missed that. I like riding my bike on the levee or around the lakes and just letting their discography play through...very relaxing and the buildups are epic.

Transitioning genres...old Hopesfall (early post hardcore) had very beautiful, heavy, and dreamscape-esque postrock elements. Check out "The End of an Era"...it's epic.

Also Maserati, while not postrock, is a great instrumental rhythmic rock outfit and probably one of the best house shows I've ever seen with one of the best drummers of the generation...RIP Jerry Fuchs
