thoughts about a 550 ti? seems to be a decent card also should I buy NVIDIA w/intel or ATI w/intel?

I'm of the Nvidia chipset fanbase.
If you're looking at the 550 ti line, consider the EVGA version here.
The shroud is better for the series and it has dual DVI OOB. For your build scope I would recommend it, unless you don't feel like skimping ~$40-50 on the video card to jump a few rungs on the ladder.
The drawback of this mentality is why skimp on anything if it's only ~$40-50 more? That's how you end up with a $2k machine
