Loading up the boat Saturday morning I reach in the back seat to grab some stuff...little do I know my friend has filet knives laying around.
Then a friend back in Florida sends me this pic.
These are just some of my latest follies. I'm sure y'all have some good stories.

When I was a youngin my buddies and myself were doing some creek fishing. Older brother of my friend got hooked in the eye lid (no pics and they would be terrible quality anyways). Some people never learn to pay attention to their surroundings when casting.

I've been hooked once, and it sucked.
I've been pretty lucky and only had minor injuries.
Earlier this year I did let my trolling motor down on my big toe. That hurt pretty bad.

Damn. I'd rather be stabbed than stung by a stingray.

Stingray to the ankle bone and hardhead to the thumb bone.
Both had massive amounts of suckage going on.
Stingray probably the worst pain imaginable for a long period of time.
Didn't know the hot water remedy when I got stuck.

hardhead to the thumb bone.
Had a hardhead pop me on the knee when I was about 15 y.o. One of the most painful ordeals I ever experienced.
Hunting ducks with my uncle when I was little when my single shot 20 gauge slipped out of my hand after I fired. The hammer cut my cheek that bled like a stuck pig.

My buddy ran smack arse into a cypress tree doing mach 3 down the Franklin hunting club boat ditch one 20 degree morning. I got ejected and landed head first like a lawn dart into the bank. Resulting injuries were 2 broke toes, a busted nose, multiple scrapes/contustions and a pretty good case of hypothermia.

Soak in hot water?
Little did I know to do this when I got stuck in Fourchon.
Was staying in Grand Isle for a week with friends and this happened on my 2nd day there.
We tried everything.
Black Salve
Tobacco
Alcohol.
nothing worked and I had swelling, fever vomiting for 4 days straight.
My dad got stuck on Ship Island and the medical personel there soaked his leg in a bucket of the hottest water he could tolerate. Let is soak for like an hour.
He was able to walk back to the boat back to the mainland and really had no side effects to deal with.
The hot water draws the poison out.
