there was a story on one of the prime time national news shows the other day about stem cell research and curing dog arthritis. the reason i remember is because it made me think of my 12-13 year old boxer. it was expensive as all hell (~$10k), but they say it almost completely relieved the symptoms. well, at least leaps and bounds better. i think i remember you posting about just getting a job not to long ago so it may be out of the question, but you could look into at the least. there was a whole variety of solutions that were discussed. one of them was a partially submerged treadmill that caused less stress on the joints. good luck

I have a 12 year old Chow/lab. He has these problems. The best that I was able to do for him was put him on Science diet arthritts dog food. Made a very big difference. If I take him off for a week, he will just lay around. With the science diet dog food, he is keeping up with my 4 year old lab. They it the woods everyday to hunt.

Oh, my daughter is a Vet and yes, she is the one that told me to put him on this dog food.

Yeah I'm no OT baller by any stretch, but I'm going to do whatever I can to help him. He's like a kid to me. Thanks for the info.
