Going tonight - can't decide on either one. Never been to Del Frisco's.

Which one serves a better steak? Or is it like splitting hairs here?

That's 2-0 for DF's.

Any Pappas Bros. backers?

Got taken on a company dinner to the one in Charlotte and it was hands down the best piece of meat and steakhouse experience I have ever had.

IMHO it beats Flemmings, Sullivans, Mortons, Ruths and the Palm.

In before, one does not belong in this group.

But, for me, Ruth's and Mr. Johns are the two best steak houses I have been to.

So, I'm tempted to alternate my plans and go to DF's tonight (had originally thought Pappas Bros.).

On St. Charles? It was good. I got the veal. But I wouldn't put it in the class with any of these.

Also, I through Sullivan's in because you can go to the one here and get four courses for $30 every Sunday. It's a steal.

I liked Pappas Bros., but it was soooo dark in there. I had to hold my table candle up to the menu. I would say it is good but not as good as Mr. John's.

Del Frisco's is owned by the same parent company as Sullivan's. It is their high end steak house. So if you like Sullivan's then you should like Del Frisco's. Just think Sullivan's with a more of fine dining atmosphere, better cuts of meat, and a larger price tag.

Ended up at Del Frisco's. Without a doubt, it was the best steak I have ever eaten.

Bone-in strip, au gratin potatoes ... wife had the filet ...

This will now be my go to place while in Houston and Dallas.

I don't think you'd have been disappointed at Pappas either. I had a great meal at the one in Dallas. Top 2 or 3 steaks I ever had.
