I don't follow college basketball recruiting in the least bit. So let me ask, are any of the players that Jones has signed to date potential first round NBA selections, or are they simply solid college prospects?

They are all more like role players at the collegiate level.

Except for Hammink.

Let's jump on his nut sac....

---and he hasn't even coached a game yet here.

His Sunbelt record --- 91-88

Gee, I can't wait...but I'm just happy it's someone new in there.

no first rounders.

The three signed players are
Hammink. 6 5" foreign. dad is LSU alum who played.
one hopes he's a 4 star with poise and leadership ability. He was raised by a guy who did it for a living, as the bench guy for three years in the NBA and then for a few years in Europe. Years of practice under a coach who knows the rope's one of the keys to the sport, besides DNA for height, jumping and running.

a four star shooting guard who is 6 3".
a 3 star small forward, 6 6".

I read that LSU is also getting two JUCO's, the 8th and 12th best in the USA, and one of them is 6 8".

If you had this class every year you could compete.
They are a little small of course. But the talent is on the cusp of good enough, especially if Hammink is the real deal.

Next year, our new coach will have to find a center or a serious power forward.
Maybe our 6 8" JUCO can rebound.
