ok, which documents are needed from the vehicle purchase to file the amended return for the credit?
Bill of Sale
Registration with the State
These are all that are required, some have been including a copy of their window stick as well.
I amended my 2009 and only included the Bill of Sale and Registration, under explanation for amendment i wrote "Taxpayer failed to claim their credit for the purchase of an alternative fuel vehicle. They have attached all necessary documentation required to claim this credit"
Got my 3,000 plus interest 5 week later.

+1 except amended for 2010 and money was in my account exactly 12 days later.

$3000? for purchase of a FlexFuel vehicle? Is that still current? If i purchase this year?
