I miss Tracey Porter. I was really hoping we could get him on the cheap this year on a one year contract or something.
That being said, I'm pretty excited we signed Lewis.

Nice doublay.
I was on my phone so I wasn't able to. But, I got my wish. Suntiger stepped up.
Save that angst for the game threads

No angst. Don't like folks that get butt hurt over something they can do themselves.
I don't understand the Doublelay's??? It seems to do that from my tablet.

I meant to post this yesterday.
#17 Robert Meachem
And lets not forget......
#17 Jim "Chris" Everett
I read on his wiki that when Ditka came in, Everett was cut without even a tryout because we were bringing in Heath Shuler. A lot of that time is a blur to me, but it doesn't seem far fetched. Is this how it went down for Jimmy?

It's not like Jim had a great year or anything. He had 12 TDs and 16 Ints.
I remember thinking Shuler would do well in New Orleans and being excited to get him. Talk about a let down. Dark days indeed...

He threw for almost 4K the previous year. Decent stats. Can't remember why his last year was so meh, but what had Shuler done in Washington to warrant a straight up cut?

That whole team was bad and really just gave up on Mora. I think we only one 3-4 games that year.
I think it was more about moving on. Ditka wanted a running game and Jim was 34-35 and on the back end of his career. Shuler was a former #3 pick overall who was viewed as needing a new start. It's been a long time, but that's how I remember it.
