It's insane we didn't move him when we had the chance... absolutely insane.

I honestly do understand why he wasn't moved at the deadline last year. But we should have moved him for anything we could get this offseason, even though his value was pretty much shot then.

Even if we could have gotten a solid 4th OF for him it would have been a steal. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

Exactly.

And from all reports, Frank did at least try to move him. He was just either asking for too much or teams were scared away, rightfully so.

Well at least they did the smart thing and sent him down rather than hope he turns it around and watch him suck. Maybe he can get it straightened out a bit down in AAA.

Ideally he can get it together after a month in the minors and come back with a strong 2nd half so we can move him for something.

Wonder what this move to AAA does for his morale. Having to fly back from LA to ATL early without the team cause you sucked arse in your start has to be a gut check.

Does this mean Huddy is activated?

Depends on his mental breakup.

He is either going to take this as a positive and work really hard to improve himself and be excited about the opportunity to get back up or he will take it as a negative and end up worst off than he already is. Don't think there is much of a medium.

Just guessing, but I think you see JJ coming back sooner rather than later, and pitching well.

I guess so, but nothing official will be until tomorrow.

They could bring up an extra bullpen arm for the next 4 games if they wanted to but that isn't really needed this early in the season. No real point to waste an option on someone right now.

Yea, last i heard KK was in GCL,so this move does have the potential to be career ending if he doesnt respond.

But it couldnt be helped, a contending team cant be patienwith that mess.

This is crazy talk. He was our best pitcher and the second best pitcher in BASEBALL at the All-Star break last year and we were in the middle of the pennant race. Wren and Co. could have never predicted he'd hurt the knee and the wheels would fall off. If the Braves had traded him to the Yankees midseason and he would have helped them win a World Series you folks would have committed Harikari.

And you better believe Wren tried to trade him in the offseason, but couldn't get anything good. And with Huddy out until May and Teheran pitching as poorly as he did, I was at least glad we'd have a veteran presence at the top of the rotation. But it didn't work out, and hopefully JJ can straighten himself out in AAA.

This was a tough call by Wren and Fredi but it was the right call.

I hope being sent to Gwinett will slap some sense into him and revive his career as a Brave...Bring on Huddy! Go Braves!
