I recently had one of those games with my franchise. I had to have Tim Hudson in as a pinch hitter at one point. I think I had 4-5 hits. Eventually won with a bomb by Freddie Freeman in the 22nd or something stupid like that. Nothing like throwing a 2 hit shutout in to the 8th and giving up a HR and have the game take another 2 hours. 
I really am a terrible hitter on this game, but I can't bring myself to use the sliders to make it easier.

i gave in and moved my fricking sliders for hitting. I started out hot and was batting in the mid .300's. Then all of a sudden, i couldn't buy a hit and my average fell to .189. frick that.
