Oh yeah, the SEZ is loud as frick as it is. I can't even imagine boxing that noise in. Gonna be good times.

Sorry about that. Truly. I see the sarcasm now.

Will some people notice proportions are off?
Bless your heart. Yes. There are principles of design that matter. And it is normal for the human mind to compare, contrast, and connect.
I'm not expecting an exact copy. I'm expecting something with balance and vision. Not sure the renderings show that yet. Maybe they will. That's what this conversation is about.
Your mind might not be wired to consider way issues of beauty and aesthetics or to make connections. Cool for you. But don't dismiss others who have these sensibilities.

No worries. I realized afterwards that it wasn't as clear as it was in my head. That was my fault. I should've put my follow-up comment in my original post.
At the end of the day, everyone just wants what's best for LSU and what will make it most successful. I understand that. Just disagreed with some things people were saying.

Sooooooooo, how the frick does one make something that will be be almost 100ft taller proportional? Not to mention it needs it's own support structure. How, exactly, would your wired brain pull that off? Maybe you could give some examples?

You think since thecurrent south endzone scoreboard has welcome to death valley, they'll put it on the new addition somewhere. Maybe between the box levels. I want that written somewhere in ts

Don't like it.
All that for such a small inrease in capacity is a waste, imo.

They're adding 60 more suites. This is a good thing economically for the program.

This addition has almost nothing to do with increasing the total number of seats in Tiger Stadium. It has everything to do with adding premium seating.
The SEZ Expansion is adding 60 suites and approximately 3,000 club seats. By comparison, the East Upper has 70 suites and the West Upper has 3,200 club seats. These being in the EZ will go for cheaper, but that is a huge influx of premium seating and much needed in the current SEC/CFB arms race to the top.

simple: don't start with the notion that you need to copy the north endzone. Make the design completely independent; you can still give it a more classic look and incorporate arches in it...which is what i did with my proposal...the one that you think looks like it was created in a high school animation class

Here's my idea so the people in the new SEZ have something to feast their eyes on....giant Jumbrotron like at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly
(done in W7 Paint, so go easy on the lousy graphics)

I get that you spent a bit of time on your design and are obviously partial to it, but most people that have a problem with the SEZ proposal is that it, along with the uppers and the NEZ aren't as coherent looking when viewed together as they would like. Your design skewed even further from the classic look of Tiger Stadium and more closely resembles the West Upper ,with some arched windows added, that most people hate. You seem like a pretty talented designer so I am not trying to offend you, but if your design was "official" it would be getting torn to pieces by some people, much like this one is.

so when they say 1500 to the general public and standing room only does that mean that you don't have to go through TAF and they will just be sold on first come first serve?

I am not sure but I would suspect you will see a large number of the visitor upper deck seats, and prob some lowers, from this chart. moved to the south upper so that number will probably be smaller than 1,500.

This is the main thing people are bitching about as it is. That it's not an exact replica.

This is your proposal. It would look completely ridiculous to put something that modern on Tiger Stadium not to mention your design brings nothing to the table as far as the wow factor. When you roll up from Nicholson you want people to say "holy frick" not "that's nice."

No you can do it but personally I don't like the look of the small window openings in the NEZ. I realize why it was done but if they build out the structure below the new SEZ I would think larger openings or arched curtain walls would look better.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO....if you want to watch the game on a giant screen tv stay home. Do you realize how DISTRACTING a huge flickering board is ? The human eye is virtually tricked into constantly focusing on a huge multi color HD screen. The upper level seats at Jerry World are the most annoying of all. The oversized board at MSU is also terrible although it does take the fans attention away from the actual game on the field, and that's usually a good thing...lulz

No, the 1500 or so at the top will be visitors. Now, any SRO would prob. be sold w/o donation requirements and at a reduced ? price

We have a white sewage pipe hanging down from the west upper deck, for all the world to see and now we get this horrible addition that doesn't match anything.
HORRIBLE on the outside.
