I don't want a 71 year old coaching here. He would be the coach for 2 or 3 years max.

What legitimate coach would be on the market after that though?

Anyone who wouldn't want him to reestablish the program is out of their mind. that is instant credibility, setting-up the right assistant - coach in waiting which could have been Jones, etc. Larry Brown can flat out coach and his name recruits for itself. What I suspect is Alleva is still a Dukie at heart and he "listened" uhhh had his arm twisted by CT and other has been still involved some freakin way with the program.
Alleva is scared for his own sorry arse.

I have no clue, but Brown would have LSU much more appealing IMO...

The guy is way past his prime. Why don't we just bring back Daddy Dale? Or dig up Rupp's bones and put them on the bench? I'm sure the bones could recruit better than TJ.

But I will add that Rupp's bones were reportedly contacted by LSU, and they declined an interview because they make more money coaching in the HBA.

I'd take 2 or 3 years if it meant competing with UK in the SEC for those years and having a legit shot at a tourney run. Which would happen over night

I'd rather Jones than Brown for where LSU hoops is
