I maintain that the Stanley Cup playoffs are the best playoffs in all of sports.
Hopefully the Blackhawks can play more like professionals and less like tourettes stricken monkeys against your beloved Coyotes tonight

Playoff hockey is pretty cool

It'll be a good series. I think we win tonight. But I'm worried about the games in Chi. I think this series goes 7

I think Bruins Caps go into overtime this afternoon...i get the feeling Caps win for some reason

I don't watch many caps games, I also don't look at the stats much. But is ovechkin falling off? I never really hear about him much anymore

The bruins focus on him and when the bruins defense focuses on someone, that person is shut down
Blackhawks need to win tonight because phoenix will win at least one in chicago...if they go back to phoenix down 3-1 they wont be coming back

Ovie had a slow start to the season, then played at a 50-goal pace i nthe second half to finish with 35 goals. He was in that big bunch of players in the top 10 far behind Stamkos at 50.
His numbers did dip because Backstrom, the Caps only top tier center, missed 40 games and when he is healthy, has been on a different line and he's been playing with the not-so-gifted Brooks Laich. Reunit Ovie and Backs, you will score goals. Right now, they are using Ovie to pull Chara away from Backs, who is recovering from a concussion.

I don't think he's gonna score 50 goals again, but no one could keep that pace. He's still an amazing scorer, but the "new normal" is likely 40/season instead of 50+. That's just natural progression of age.

Him Geno and Sid set the bar so high that when they have a good year people think they are falling off

Pretty much. Ovie scored 35 goals with Brooks Laich as his primary center. That's nothing short of miraculous.
Geno is playing with such losers as Jamie Benn and Pascal Dupuis. Stamkos has St. Louis. The Sedins have each other (awwwww...). I don't think there is a top 20 forward who played with worse linemates. Even Iginla ended up with Lombardi and Jokinen.

Phoenix is a real decent team if Mike Smith keeps his composure straight.

Early PP... Chara couldn't stop Ovie in open ice. Good start for the Caps.

Man, Ovie was everywhere. Great period for him. He did everything but score, but he was in a different gear than everyone else.
Losy some momentum in the last five minutes of the period, though.
