:not posted on the OB because they will probably just respond poorly
:
By that I mean take the time to track an animal to kill...looking for and following spoor, etc.
As opposed to my (possibly wrong) impression of hunting being
1) Find a place with deer using cam
2) Train them to feed at a certain point.
3) Wait in a nearby shelter for them to show up so you can make the shot.
Alternatively, just waiting in said shelter for a deer to pass.
Honestly don't know.
Enlighten me
ETA: Mostly thinking about deer here

Yeah, jeez.
WTF?
Just because you're soft, doesn't mean the rest of us have to shop for everything we put in our pie hole.

:not sure if stopped reading at subject line:
I am not degrading hunters.
I just wondered if it was common for people to be old school about it.
TBH, In the modern world, it is often impractical to do so.

Nothing against deer hunting because I go a couple times a year, but I do find it funny that some guys think they're the king of the outdoors by sitting up in a tree reading ESPN on their phone every weekend. All the Browning stickers in the world won't make up for that.

So shooting a defenseless animal with a weapon makes you a tough guy.

More of a tough guy than going to a grocery store and buying meat that someone else killed

Rabbit hunting is a great example of the real man hunting you are talking about.

You would be wrong. Many places, people still hunt like they did decades ago. Public land, track, kill, care for the meat etc.

You don't see the look on these deer's faces before I blast them.
They're asking for it IMO.
