It's both of their faults.

But the coach is there for a reason. To reiterate the right decision. Especially on a slow developing play like that WITH A RUNNER ON 3rd BASE!

He's the last line of defense in that instance. He dropped the ball.

It appeared he yelled tag and then was watching to yell go when the rf caught it. He was surprised when he saw the runner already down the line.

This 100% on the player.
