Anyone else enjoy spending their summers along Tensas Parish's finest - Lake Bruin?

I'll be there several times this summer. Got a few golf tourney/fishin trips/getting blitzkrieged weekends that have been annual events for 15+ years coming up. Can't wait..

ah Bruin...

Grew up on bluegill from my grandparent's dock there....

It's amazing how bad we used to complain about how "small" the bream were there...(as we were catching 30 or so hand sized bream per hour).

A lot of places here in Texas I'd KILL to have the bream fishing as easy as that lake.

to pleasureboaters and the lake being overrun with docks with minimal launch ramps though...

Oh, and the hybrid striper fishing is absolutely fantastic now...at night or otherwise.

Oh, and last time I was there (I think it was 2007) we stayed at the hotel there and some drunken frat boy woke us up at like 4 AM saying his girlfriend had ditched him and he needed a ride but didn't know where...he could only remember the name of the folk's place where he was staying.

We ended up taking him back to the Netterville's...

Was that one of you guys?

Camped there last year post spawn. Fishing was just tough enough for me to pretty much not return. Loved it otherwise.

I've never fished Lake Bruin. May try and make a trip up there sometime this summer.

Lake Bruin res here.

El josey...they live on the inside or the outside? Id be shocked if I didnt know em?

Slickback..Id advise to give it a try before the water gets too hot. Towards the end of last summer, it got so hot that it slowed the fishing down big time (at least for me, Im not a big bass fisherman though).

They live on the outside. Pretty much in the middle, maybe a hair north of center.

Yeah, if your inlaws lived in Tensas Parish long Josey, I know your inlaws and they know me.

My first guess would be that your inlaws used to live in town right near mainstreet and your FIL is Mark.

I have a co-worker that practically lives up there at the campground during the summer. Said he's been catching huge slabs of spotted panfish and huge stripers

They have lived there about 9 years. Moved there permanently when they retired. They bought the camp in 1996. You probably still know them, they are pretty active at church amd have lots of local friends, etc.

Balls,

I'm not sure where your boss's monstrosity is.
