I don't really feel like adding up for each break down, but I spend about 1200-1500 a year.
Grooming is probably the biggest cost. She is a 12 pound mini schnauzer so food is fairly cheap. Schnauzers require haircuts every 5-6 weeks before they start to look homeless.

I've never had a dog that needed grooming. I have to comb out my Golden Retriever once a week and he hates it.

I'm way over the numbers quoted here. We have two Giant Schauzers and they get groomed every 4 weeks at $190 total each visit.
Plus all the other stuff people have listed.
So, I'm at $2500 for grooming a year plus everything else everone has listed.
