Starting a fat RB who is getting 2 yards a carry is a normal thing to do when you have 3 actually good RBs behind him?

Ware was a beast the beginnng of last year when he was hitting on all cylinders

Jarrett Lee was smooth as glass on his fakes and passes he threw to Ware. The offense just had a different look. Ware can be an elite back on the next level. The whole offense suffered on the back half of the season.

He really was. I felt like he looked for contact too much though.

a backseat in the running back derby. Seems like quite a few folks had already written him off. From the article that Jim Kleinpeter(nola.com) wrote a couple of days ago and the performance he had yesterday(albeit a scrimmage), it appears he's not ready to hand over the reigns to any of the other guys. He's dropped weight and it sounds like he's running hard.
I'm trying to find my quote that I wrote about spencer ware a couple months ago. Saying the same things this guy said. to myself. I stated that him playing baseball and football wore him out. You could see it in his play. He got worse and worse every game. Now that he is rested and just playing football he will be back better than ever. People wrote him off to quick. Plus all the great running backs we have they all have to step it up not to get left behind. This could possibly be the best 5 RB tandem ever in the history of college football.

I thought they were moving one of them (Blue I'd assume) to receiver?

One thing we all forget is that last year was only Ware's second year at RB. He will improve

That was the talk but then it turned out Les Miles saying he was our best running back for the spring

Yup... which, granted, I'm sure is exactly what was being fed to him by the coaches... that he's the "hammer." It works to a certain extent, but it'll shorten Ware's career and hurt him when being evaluated for the next level.

5 games out of 7 with 20+ carries to start the season (he was rested against NW and Kentucky).
Less than 10 carries in 4 of the last 5 games, including only 6 in the SECCG and 3 in the BCSCG.
If you don't realize Ware touched the ball a whole lot less late in the season than early, then you weren't paying attention.

so starting for no reason is OK as long as you get fewer than 20 carries?

What's more important, being on the field for the first play or getting more touches?

If you liked LSU Offense last year...you should love this year. Sameo ...Sameo ..win 85-90 % of the time an lose the ones or one that really counts.

Our RBs are so loaded right now it really is unreal. And, they all have their own style which helps. I think scouts will like Blue, not only because of him as a RB, but he is a special team stud. But, I think Ford will be the top RB out of this group in the NFL. Hes got great feet, break away speed, and knows how to make a guy miss. He reminds me of a faster Rashard Mendenhall.

With Hilliard and Hill, Ware doesn't have to be that big, bruising, every-down back. He's dropped some weight so he can go back to the style we saw against A&M in the bowl game. Options are limitless with this set of RBs.

WTF does this even mean? WE lost one game to one of the best defenses in CFB history with absolutely shitty QB play.

this is the RB equivalent of JJ "winning" the QB job last year. Miles plays who Miles likes. He loved JJ, he loves Ware. End of story.
True. I never could understand why Ware was still starting and getting the number of touched he got the second half of the season.

Discounting the NW St game, Ware had 22 or more carries in 5 of the first 6 games, only 4 against UK. After the Auburn game were he didn't play, the most he got was 16 vs Bama, after that he got 6,8,10,6,3 carries. Against Arkansas he started and got 10 yds on 2 carries on the first drive for 10 yards, then didn't get another carry until the 3rd quarter. What exactly is the problem?
ETA: Ford got the first carry on the first play of the UGA game, so who "started"?
Spencer Ware

You're changing the argument. JJ ended up taking over the QB position and Jarrett Lee couldn't get into a game to save his life.
Spencer Ware started off as the workhorse and ended up touching the ball 6 times, and then 3 times, in the two championships at the end of the season.
That's not how you treat a player you love at the end of the season.
What part of this is beyond your ability to understand?
