budget is $2K-$3K. im a newb, but in my experience in other sports like this, i don't mind spending some money up front if i will be able to use and upgrade components for a while. looking at a new 2010 titus ftm titanium for $2500 complete and yeti sb66 enduro complete. any other opinions on bikes? TIA

Can you spare me about 10% of that budget so I can buy myself a new bike?

Dayum ki yack, Prius driv'n and hik'n boys on here is bad enough! I make a motion that if a cycle has to be pedaled, thread is whacked.

i've consulted w/ Mr. Clayton of Clayton Homes and he has agreed to weld a bike rack right behind the receiver

The only one I have a problem with is the underlined. What's wrong with yacks and hik'n and bicycles? I seriously doubt anyone is as Conservative as me here.. But I have no problem with the others. For yaks at least a guy can fish from them too. And for hik'n at least a guy can carry a weapon and hunt too, or scout out other future hunting area's...And for Bicycles did you know that most of the worlds best Motorcycle Riders train all off-season on Bicycles to stay in good shape. It's kind of like when Ice Hockey(which is another real mans sport) players train in their off-season on roller blades...And with Bikes, most motorcycle racers are really REALLY into it too, racing them often that way and such... Thus, you have to expand your thinking. Not all guys do those common things with a hippie mentality.

With the price of gas I may need to stay on my horse more.
