I've been looking for a good reputable place get info on the market.
It seems pricey but is it worth it? 21 bucks a month and they have year plans that discount it some.

Yes, I use it. I am not sure I use it to its fullest extent. I mainly use it to do portfolio analysis. Things like overlap, total portfolio beta and portfolio returns. It also offers analyst reports on stocks which is kinda cool. However, if you are just wanting basic info on stocks, funds or screeners then it is not worth it in my opinion. Good luck.

I too have used it before. I'm not sure we version we had or what we paid for it. It was especially helpful for portfolio analytics and mutual funds but I found in terms of research it did not offer many advantages. If you are a portfolio manager it's definitely not a bad supplemental tool to have.... Capital IQ is pretty legit

How do you like it? Do you feel it's worth it?

Probably way too much for any retail investor. But I honestly have no idea.

Yeah its like 20k for a single license. Not bloomberg expensive but, you know.

Wow, I figured it was kind of expensive, but not that much. Do they not have a discounted rate and different interface for retail investors? I don't know what I'd do with out cap iq. Out of curiosity what makes Bloomberg better (or why do they charge more)? More real time stuff?

I think scottrade offers a decent amount of research and data for whatever it costs you in opportunity cost to open an account there.

Bberg is nice but $30k/year. I have bberg and factset and love it but $70k/year+

At first.. yes. I used it more as a learning tool.
Now that I've learned I'm an idiot with the market I probably will cancel this year.

I don't know but I kind of doubt it. Bberg's interface is pretty ugly if you ask me, but the level of detail they have on everything is unreal.

Well I wouldn't exactly call Cap IQ's interface pretty. For way less money, any online broker has a more aesthetically pleasing interface or Morningstar premium. I do love how Cap IQ does have all kinds of historical data which you can plot anything against anything on the chart and download data straight to excel for analysis.
