Yeah, there is no logical argument for this.

Patriots / Tom Brady / Belicheat
are the freaking sweet hearts of the NFL.
It really is unexplainable bull shite how they just got a small slap on the wrist compared to our arse raping.

League favorite, along with the Steelers.

I think MAYBE...just MAYBE...its because what they did, did not involve being paid to injure/attempt to injure an athlete on the other team.

The thought of a crime is the same as actually doing a crime?

Laugh my arse off. Some sweet revisionist history going on in this thread.
Everyone bashed the Patriots, the League took away a first round pick, and fined BB at least 500K.
Just because one punishment is over the top doesn't mean the Patriots got away with murder.

not a comparable situation. Saints players were trying to physically injure people in return for money. video taping practice is easily forgivable in comparison.
sucks for us Saints fans, but the franchise is getting its comeuppance.

How many players did we really injure?
What about all of the other teams doing the same shite.

You are being relatively reasonable compared to most of the douche trolls who are flaming the board today.
So I will simply tell you what BB did deserved a harsher penalty than SP

That doesnt matter, they were still intentionally trying to...how do you people not understand this?

Its my understanding all the GMs/owners were brought in and told to stop any and all bounty programs if indeed they had one. The saints chose to tell their boss to go frick himself and kept doing it.
Its the regular world you would be fired from your job.

Time for our fans to get stupid.
Done.
Done.

I would be willing to bet that SP would gladly pay 500k to not be suspended.
Oh and to think that what the Patriots did wasnt more compromising to the game itself than what the Saints did is a joke, at BEST.

I think their violation also involved a competitive rule as well, which resulted in a 500k fine and loss of saints 2nd round draft picks for two years. Similar to pats but i think the rest of the teams discipline shouldve been half of what the saints got.
On top of this i repeatedly see the words and phrases "undermine the integrity of the game" "principles of fair play" "respect for the game" "violation of league rules" etc in the pdf of saints findings. These are the majority of the main terms used against the saints in this matter. They also could be used against the pats.

"Knockouts" were worth $1,500 and "cart-offs" $1,000, with payments doubled or tripled for the playoffs. According to the NFL, the pool amounts reached their height in 2009, the year the Saints won the Super Bowl.
