On the one hand, I understand that Drew is trying to maximize his earnings because this is likely his last contract and the career of a pro player doesn't last near as long as the average person's career does.
On the other hand, Drew wanted $23MM per year. There were reports that we were $5MM apart so we were offering 18 a year. 18 motherfricking million per year isn't good enough? Say what you will but that seems like greed to me. I'm a bit disappointed that Drew seems to be putting his money lust before the Saints ability to field a complete team.

This is correct.
If Drew wants the Saints to continue to be about Championships and striving for Super Bowls, he would work with the team on the money. EVERYONE here knows he has earned and deserves as much as he can get within the structure of the team
If Drew wants to chase records and be Marino-like, he'll keep banging for 23 million and the Saints window of opportunity will close
so if your a "fan" pick the one that benefits the whole situation......
and If you pick the "Give Drew whatever he wants" angle, well you're not only stupid but a fan of a player more than a team and in my book that make you a a-hole too
