The Rajon Rondo Saga: where does he end up?

He currently has 3 years left on his contract at about $11mm per year.
His contract isn't terrible and he's 26 years old. The Celtics will obviously be looking for young players and draft picks but I don't know if any team will be willing to give a combination of the two.
I'm trying to think of teams that could be interested:
Magic
Lakers
Dallas
Trailblazers
Jazz
Hornets
Suns
I think Dallas would rather wait for Deron Williams.
The Lakers don't have anything to really offer for a team looking to get younger.
The Magic only really have Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson, they're still trying to hold onto Howard and I don't think Rondo is the return they want.
The Jazz have a lot of young pieces but are they willing to break any of it up for Rondo?
The Hornets could feasibly offer Kaman, Xavier Henry, and they have two first rounders. I could only see them adding one of those picks if it's top-5 protected.
Maybe something like
Kaman + Henry + top-5 protected pick for Rondo and Jermaine O'Neal's expiring.
The only reason Celtics would do this is to free up a bunch of cap space so I don't know.
What say you, MSB?

Jazz would have the best offer to give.

Rondo and Dwight Howard both somehow end up on the Lakers. Don't ask me how.

They missed their chance to cash out on their players IMO so they are kind of screwed
They could had gotten some nice pieces for the future if they trade parts of the big 3 last year and not tried to Rajon so hard he gets pissed at you the past couple of years
Also leaking out info about how much of a prima dona a guy is will help you with the fans perpective but wont help you if youre trying to get good value back for him

Rondo is kind of a dick but he doesn't get arrested and I've never heard of him choking out a player or coach so it's cool.

I wouldn't mind him on the blazers even though i dont like him. Blazers would have to give up way too much though. Felton has had his moments but for the most part has been awful. Jamal crawford is now our PG(which is beast for now).
Heat @ Blazers tonight on TNT. Probably going to get smoked because their on a roll and lebron always plays well @ portland.

When trying to trade someone, you should either keep your mouth shut or talk about how well he is playing and then as soon as the trade goes through let some website write a scathing article about how terrible of a teammate he was and how much he partys and whanot

Rondo isn't going anywhere. The Celtics will trade Allen and Garnett, and MAYBE Pierce for either some decent young players or some mid-first round picks and build around Rondo.

Are they trying out the new method of pissing off your players and making them feel unwanted before building around them?

Monta Ellis to Boston
Rajon Rondo to Golden State
That's what I was thinking

The Warriors think too highly of Ellis to trade him for Rondo.

Didn't they talk before switching Curry for Rondo?

Not sure I agree. Lots of smoke saying he's on the outs with Ainge and Doc and that Ainge/C's don't see him in their long-term plans.
Not sure he gets traded this season though. They might wait till the off-season, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's moved when the others retire/get moved.

Rondo is great in a system where you don't need him to be a perimeter shooter. He is terrible in a situation where you'd want him to be one.

I doubt Dallas makes a play for him unless he hits free agency in the future and they miss out on not only Deron Williams, but Nash as well. Although, Dallas won't sign Nash to anything more then a 2 or 3 year deal.

Dallas won't be picking up Nash. If they don't get Deron, they'll either just use what they already have or make a trade for someone, but Nash isn't coming back to Dallas as a free agent signing.

If Phoenix re-signs him, but if not Nash wants to play with Dirk again. And it isn't a random thought either see.
