Where do you store your coffee?

I have always put mine in the refrigerator. Today, while looking at the back of the package, it says do not refrigerate or freeze - store in cool, dry, dark place.

We store it in air tight container in the pantry

Since I scored a Keurig I don't have to worry about that anymore.
Before that it was in one of those sealable tins.

Just out of curiosity, what is so wrong with throwing it in the refrigerator or freezer?

Frim what i read in brief research, freezing is bad because everytime you take it out a slight condensation forms as it warms (however slight it may be). Moisture is death to coffe beans/grounds.
Purists will say coffee goes stale after a week at room temp and not to freeze or fridge. The most practical recommendation is freeze longterm stuff in one week "doses" and get beans not grounds.

Scored? lolz. More like got duped.
OP, coffee is quite absorbant.. thus putting it in the freezer it's going to absorb moisture and in some cases will take on the flavor of any meat/poultry/seafood products you may also have in the freezer, which will be released from the coffee grinds when they are heated. sounds pretty gross, IMHO.
I only make coffee at home on the weekends so I normally try to buy some freshly roasted beans on Friday for the next two days. Have a coffee maker that grinds the beans for me. Not the absolute freshest out there, but it makes a pretty decent cup.

i buy multiple bags of the brand i like, when i can find them.. i store them in the freezer until it's time for one of them to give their life.. At that time it's put in a plastic container with a screw down lid..

I leave it on the counter next to the coffee maker. We go through our coffee pretty quickly
