I'm in Houston visiting my brother. We are picking up dinner from Pei Wei and I know that it's one of the new concepts that is under construction on Vets. Anybody have any comments about their food and service?

I like it for what it is. Lettuce wraps are wonderful.

Pee Wee is PF Chang's Jr, owned and started by same group..aka lettuce wraps rock..

But, Htown has much much better Chinese fare, thus you are wasting a good opportunity to live large!

Be the 'laowai', go to Fung's Kitchen, Auntie Chang's, Shanghai River, etc...or even a true dive off Bellaire.

Thanks for the comments. The food was really good and plentiful for what we paid. I can see the PF Chang Jr in what they offer.

There's supposed to be one in the new commercial development on N Carrollton and Bienville, along with the Winn Dixie and Office Depot.

I am working for a client in Miami, and go there at least once a week. It is very good and has a variety of different Asian dishes - not just Chinese.

If you like PF Changs, you will probably like this. It's reasonably priced, tasty, and very high quality - although it may not be "authentic" enough for some on here.

I think it is probably a great place to take a group of people because they will have something for everyone - from spicy Thai Dynamite to mild Chinese Fried Rice.

I think having a Pei-Wei in your neighborhood is definitely a good thing.
