Alabama's schedule was laughable last season. Nobody except Alabama gets the treatment they did after losing to LSU.

I've said it countless times... If LSU would have lost to Alabama on November 5th, there's no way in hell we'd have gotten a 2nd chance in January, even though the first game was in Tuscaloosa and we played a tougher schedule.

After all, if Alabama would have won, then the better team would have won the game. No big deal. Better luck next year LSU.

But everyone had been raving all season about how this Alabama defense was one of the best of all-time. How Trent Richardson was the best player on the best team in the country. And since 80% of analysts picked Alabama to win on November 5th, they needed to find a way to justify the loss. So all it took was them saying that Alabama outplayed LSU (which is true if you only care about 1st quarters). That Alabama is still the better team. That they'd win if they played again (and they did, but that's irrelevant).

Problem solved.

In a dead heat it is human nature coaches vote for guys they know. Of course Brady Hoke @ Michigan voted Nick Saban who was the HC @ State when Hoke was asst. under Carr. I thought Gundy being a lifer @ OSU hurt his chances vs Saban who has been the HC @ 4 programs
