FSU will not go undefeated. However, if they did, it has nothing to do with them per say. Any respected Major AQ Conference undefeated would go in over a one loss SEC team.

Several years ago it would look like this: Any AQ Conference team would get in over. And a few more were close such as the MWC(with BYU, Utah, TCU ect) Would be 2 thirds of the way having that respect, a big East Champ would probably get in only because they are AQ, even though not a respected major AQ. And the WAC- think BSU- would get left out most likely vs a 1 loss SEC team. But all the other 5 respected(and ACC barely) AQ's, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC-10, ACC, would all get in over a 1 loss SEC team if undefeated.

But now, with so many teams shuffling, the Big East has lost everybody, the WAC is hardly a Conference, and the MWC has lost everyone. Now only 5 Conferences are respected and any of the other 4, if undefeated would get in over any SEC undefeated- even a Bama...such as last year. Last year a Clemson, Wisky, Okie Lite, Stanford or even FSU- if any went undefeated last year would of played vs LSU and held Bama out... That's just the way it is. The SEC gets more votes to brake any ties for mutual one losses, but not enough to jump any AQ majors undefeated's...

I think a point you missed touching on was the names of the SEC vs non SEC schools in question

If it was say Alabama or if it was Arkansas... and if the non SEC teams in question were USC or Oklahoma State

You get more breaks if you have a name program that won it all in recent memory
