If she is on scholarship from the soccer team, she will have to give it up and either be put on the football squad as a walk on or be put on a football scholarship. A football player can't be on the squad and be on an athletic scholarship from another sport.

It's called the "Bear Bryant Rule" when Bear would warehouse football players by making the coaches of other sports put a player on a scholarship from their program only to play football. It was his way of getting around football scholarship limitations when those limits were first introduced.
