Hearing Baylor came across with a good offer and LSU would not match it. The Baylor players seem to be driving some expensive vehicles, maybe one reason they're being investigated.

It happens all over college basketball. Lots of agents are paying players to get a leg up on signing them when they enter the draft. Im not sure how much BU is involved, but Happy Walters is directly involved with one of their players.

Baylor is very much involved in the agent/darkside of AAU scene. I will not go into details about Gathers but both schools he has commited to are as dirty as it gets this side of Kentucky. There are reasons in that realm why Gathers decommited from St Johns and why he is commited to Baylor now. To compete with the big boys for recruits in basketball you have to play dirty. It's just the way of the world in basketball recruiting. Much filthier than football mostly because the elite guys are so scarce. They're much more in demand to colleges and therefore agents and "darksiders" on the AAU circuit. When there are high school academies based on recruiting and putting out college level kids that are tied to the shoe companies and the money that's coming from colleges, you know that recruiting "inside the rules" is a lost cause. Oak Hill Academy has been around all these years for a reason. Kickbacks from Nike and colleges for the kids they get on campus. The NCAA would rather hammer a school for too many phone calls and some swag(Connecticut) than go after the schools in the "Worldwide Wes" and those of his ilk network. It's ridiculous. You can't compete for high level recruits in basketball by playing by the rules. It's impossible unless your Duke and I'm not convinced that they're clean.

Comparing duke to other schools is like comparing black to white.

The Duke intramural scene is dirty as hell. I heard that KeysOpenDoors was given a case of Budlight and $50 to play for YoMama's coed intramural team while he was at Duke. Evidently he is a chucker.

The one thing I disagree with is about Oak Hill. I am good friends with the son of a prominent college basketball coach, and we've talked about this stuff before. He specifically called out the Tobias Harris and Josh Selby recruitments as being dirty as hell and Brandon Knight's for being clean.
He's said that when it comes to running a clean program, holding players accountable, making kids take non-sham classes, not interfering in the decisions of players (i.e. telling them to commit to a school based on shoe affiliation or similar things) Oak Hill and Montrose were much cleaner than the trailers that masquerade as schools in North Carolina (Quality Education Academy), and to a lesser extent, Findlay in Vegas.

Surprisingly, I wasn't given cars, watches, or even Air Jordans, in return for doing a poor Andre Dawkins imitation against frat stars wearing pinnies.

He specifically said "LSU wasted my time". Parlance that is usually reserved for negotiations, not recruitments.

He and his entourage has had their hands out from the start. He's been given stuff everywhere he's gone. LSU tried to recruit him legally, boosters may step in now.
