Anthony Davis or Thomas Robinson - who wins player of the year?

Anthony Davis:
13.8 pts; 9.8 rebs; 4.8 blks; 64.6 FG%
Thomas Robinson:
17.4 pts; 11.9 rebs; 1.1 blks; 54 FG%
I know I'm biased, but I think the award has to go to Davis. Slightly better stats and his team has the better record.

Robinson. He's more valuable to his team. I know it's not an MVP award, but that still gets taken into consideration.

Davis hands down. He had a PoY type game today.

It's close. I go with Davis because I think it's far tougher to be that good defensively and he's one-of-a-kind in that respect. His offensive stats would be through the roof if he didn't play on a team with 5 other guys who average double digits.

UK's only loss this season was because Davis spent majority of the game on the bench in foul trouble.

please do not make the argument that davis is more valuable to kentucky than Trob is to kansas. please don't.

Robinson did too against the #3 team in the country

I don't need to make that argument. This is not an MVP award.

UK w/o Davis = 1 or 2 seed in NCAA Tourney
KU w/o Robinson = bubble team at best

Then you're making the argument for why Davis's numbers should be more impressive. Because he's doing it despite having talent around him that eat up points, rebounds, etc.
If Davis was on Kansas, what would his numbers be like?

What's your point? This is not an MVP award. It is supposed to go to the player with the better statistical season.
You can't penalize Davis for the fact that Thomas Robinson plays on a shitty team (with the exception of T-Rob).

I really like Davis and I want the Hornets to draft him, but I've got to go with Robinson.

It's like arguing with a wall.

In that case, I still vote Robinson. More points, more rebounds
