Obviously we need to just win out so there's very little "strategery" involved.

BUT...I hope we can shoot to the 3rd or 6th.

What are the tiebreaker rules?

If we get 4th we get a bye, but probaby play a Vandy or Bama then get waxed by UK. If we're 5th we play Carolina and have a chance to win 2 games before being waxed by UK.

UF has 3 losses and should be second. But Vandy has 4 losses and still has @UK, UF, and @UT--not easy. We could overtake them. We'd have a great shot from the 3 seed and avoid UK till the final who I really think is untouchable.

I hope Vandy loses, that's our shot.

As high as possible... Playing USC again won't help us all that much

3

We could compete with Florida and a win would lock us in the tourney.

It's stating the obvious, but it could make a huge difference.

Exactly, the 3 vs the 4 is a massive difference, I really would rather not play UK in the third round.

As high as possible. Everyone is assuming we'll get waxed by UK, but that's the worst we have played in conference. I'm not saying we'll win, but everyone assuming we get blown out because of last game is mistaken.

If we beat UK, we're in without question. I think a 3 seed is ideal, but it's unlikely. A three gives us an opportunity to win two games versus good teams.

But not out of the question, Vandy has some really tough games left to play.

ETA: They'd have to lose out, while we win out

Vandy has @UK, vs Florida, @Tenn left.

Yup, we need Vandy to lose thrice.

Stop with the LSU beating UK talk. UK could name the score if they decided they wanted to. LSU is not even in the same stratosphere as UK.

bama, miss. st. & tennessee all played kentucky very close and indiana beat them. lsu would have to play their best game, but kentucky is beatable.

Beatable, possibly. Just not by LSU.

I agree. I don't care, I don't want to play UK before the final and don't want to be on their side of the bracket. I saw them play in person and it's not a match up I'd like to revisit.

What is so negative about being truthful? I simply stated that there is noway LSU could beat UK. I'm not sure LSU could beat UK's second 5.

Just like there is "no way" that VCU could make it to the Final Four, or George Mason doing the same, or Georgia as the bottom seed in the East winning the SEC Tournament a few years ago.

This isn't football, any team is beatable on any given day.

I would like whatever seed would give us a shot at Florida or Vandy again. I think we would lose again to Kentucky. Kentucky is far better than us. We could beat them bc it's basketball but I would rather not play them until the finals.
