We will make a good hire.

Cooper's departure is no "small potatoes" loss. His position on the LSU staff is a major part of the overall Tiger team effort. Unless a very good - no, unless a GREAT hire happens, and soon, LSU's stock will continue to be in flux for 2012. You don't just absorb a major missing component like Cooper without something misfiring on defense.

Huge exaggeration. Best of luck to him. Great position coach. But his recruiting was done at camp, not on the road. We can eval in camp with or without him, and if we bring in the cats we are rumored to be hiring (IE-Raymond, Buckles, or Steele-my dream hire), then we'll replace him with young, HUNGRY types that can do battles not only in-state, but go up against the hot tickets like Dameyune Craig over at FSU and WIN.

You're exaggerating bigtime. LSU will be fine.
